Punta Chiara Boutique: A Family Business
Boutique de Mariage Punta Chiara (Punta Chiara means Pointe Claire), is considered a hidden gem in the West Island for their wide selection of formal wear. They have been in business for over 12 years and offer amazing customer service.
It was originally located on St-Charles, but in 2014, moved into a beautiful Victorian home on Lakeshore Boulevard. It offers a comfortable and homey vibe which will make you feel welcome the moment you step inside.
While it is always nice to enjoy the atmosphere of the boutiques you visit, nothing is more important than the quality of the service provided. This is where the owner Toni, and her dedicated staff come in. They aren’t just co-workers; they are family.
Each person at the boutique wants you to have a personal, and knowledgeable consultation. In an interview Toni did for The Ultimate Planner, she makes it clear that her staff knows how to make you feel at ease while shopping for the perfect dress. All they want to do, is help you say “Yes to the dress”.
“I am extremely proud of my staff. We all work very well together and consider ourselves a family. This is extended to our clients from the moment they walk into our home. Our consultants care about our clients’ vision and are always very excited to make their special day come true.”
In order to meet Toni and the rest of the staff, it is necessary to book an appointment, which can be done easily here.
They have been a part of preparing numerous weddings, and have made several connections with other industry experts. When you go to Punta Chiara Boutique, it is more than just bridal gowns. They have referrals to connect you with seamstresses, designers, wedding planners, florists, wedding cake makers, makeup artists, wedding venues, photographers and videographers that they know and trust. Simply ask them for more information during your consult!
Still nervous about the whole consultation experience? That’s perfectly normal. Share whatever is making you feel anxious with the Punta Chiara team, and they will do what they can to put you at ease.
“Give yourself plenty of time to purchase the gown. We prefer anywhere from 9 months to a year. Remember alterations will be needed. Respect your budget, be practical and true to yourself. When you fall in love with a gown DO NOT CONTINUE TO SHOP! This will cause you to be stressed and confused. A good consultant must listen to their clients. Pictures of gowns that are liked should be sent to your consultant before the appointment. A good consultant will pull out anywhere from 5-10 gowns for you to try. Trust me when I say, your gown is amongst the first 5 gowns. A bride should never be pressured into buying a gown. However, when you know you have found the one, STOP SEARCHING!. Remember it’s your day, your vision and your dream.” -via The Ultimate Planner
