Pouch Couch: From Pouch to Couch in Seconds
*Disclaimer: I was provided a free product in return for my honest review. All thoughts are my own and are my honest opinion.*
Summer is in full swing, which means it’s the perfect time for outdoor barbeques, beach days, camping trips, and lounging in the backyard.
All of the settings mentioned above, usually require several similar things. Food, drinks, sunscreen, and a comfortable way to lay down, or sit, to fully relax and enjoy yourself.
From my experiences, carrying a ton of collapsible chairs was never fun when you had to find a good spot on the beach. When it came to camping, the car usually got packed to the brim with all of the tents and other supplies; bringing chairs usually wasn’t a priority.
This is where the Pouch Couch comes in…
Made from parachute-grade fabric, the Pouch Couch is lightweight, and folds small enough so it can be carried in a pouch on your shoulder. You barely notice that you’re carrying anything at all.
You don’t need any pumps or mechanical devices to blow it up; simply use the natural air!
Hold the end open, and scoop up some air, one side at a time.
Roll up the end to get an air tight seal, and connect the buckle to secure it.
It comes with tent pegs to hold it in place outdoors (it will blow away otherwise).
It can be used outdoors AND indoors, so there are many uses for it.
My Experience
I will be 100% honest. At the beginning, I was skeptical about this product.
It seemed like a great idea, but I had some trouble inflating it before I watched the “How To” Videos. I had tried inflating it unsuccessfully numerous times, and was about to give up. Then, I watched the videos (as seen below).
We brought it to the park, and the first thing I appreciated was how easy it was to transport. It is extremely lightweight!
Thank goodness it was a windy day so I could use natural wind to inflate it with minimal effort. The buckle was secured, and I hesitantly climbed in. I was expecting all of the air to come out, but thankfully, this time it worked. It was surprisingly comfortable, which I wasn’t expecting at all. I truly could have fallen asleep on it.
My toddler wasn’t willing to try it by himself, but once he saw me use it, he climbed in and laughed while trying it about four times in a row.
All this to say, that I would definitely use it for other occasions outdoors. A windy day would make it much easier to inflate.
When it comes to indoor use, it may be a bit trickier, since it did feel like the only way to get enough air in it would be to use a fan. However, it is so comfortable I would be willing to do that in order to use it.
Here is the video that helped me learn how to inflate an air sofa (just like the Pouch Couch) in the best possible manner:
