I love chocolate chip cookies, but sometimes you just need even more chocolate. This is why I purchased President’s Choice Decadent Chocolate Chunks.
I had never made chocolate chunk cookies before, and I wanted to see how their recipe turned out.
As I finished preparing the dough, I was left with not enough batter, and several chunks leftover. I would definitely alter the number of certain ingredients next time. It did not make 32 large cookies like the recipe states, but 25 cookies- as seen in the photo below.
Also, I am not used to cookies not spreading a bit more while baking. These cookies came out of the oven almost looking like the balls of dough I had put on the baking sheets. I left them in for the full 11 minutes, but be sure to keep an eye on yours while baking.
I was skeptical, but they taste quite good. They are not the best cookies I’ve ever had, but who can complain when there are chocolate chunks involved?
Liam also loved to help me make them, so they are another toddler-friendly recipe. Let your kids help by pouring in the ingredients, or stirring. It always makes for a fun activity!

Have you made these cookies? Did you find something was a bit odd when it came to the dough/chunk ratio? If you have other chocolate chunk recipes, please let me know!

Love this recipe, but yeah…too many chunks! I never use a whole bag. Leave a few at the end for snacking here and there 😉
It definitely depends on your preferred chunk to cookie ratio! I love snacking while baking too, so you absolutely have a good point.
