Review
If you’re a fan of Odenkirk’s work, Nobody is definitely worth watching. However, if you aren’t the type to watch “shoot’em up” action scenes, I would say to avoid it. It has “Falling Down” vibes to it (seemingly ordinary men with guns…).
I primarily watched it because I have been a fan of Odenkirk’s ever since Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. It is due to his “underdog” role in these shows that seems to make him the perfect choice to have cast as the lead in this film.
Seeing Lloyd again is also nice; I don’t see him too often!
We watched John Wick 3 after this and it is safe to say that both movies complement each other well. It seems we had a few of these types of movies to cross off our list.
Overall
Is this the best action movie to come out in recent years? I wouldn’t go that far. However, it is perfect for easy viewing. It provides a couple of laughs and there is one major fight scene that features a few moves that I haven’t seen used too frequently.
It’s the type of movie that makes you want to roll your eyes at times- don’t get me wrong. Yet, you also root for, if not care, about the character.
As you can tell, I have very little to say about this movie. This isn’t always a bad thing. However, it does summarize my feelings for this movie quite well. Unfortunately, it’s not one that I will remember. I do applaud the cast but as for the movie as a whole? It is what it is.
